Wool Rugs

Wool rugs are a personal favourite, this type of yarn has been used in the manufacturing of rugs for many years and is still the fibre of choice for many rug producing countries such as India, China and Iran. Wool rugs have high durability and can be dyed easily, wool is also fairly abundant in many rug producing areas. Our ranges vary greatly from modern to traditional and from tufted to handmade, handmade rugs are usually made on a loom each strand is knotted by hand, tufted rugs are made by hand but the use of a tufting gun is incorporated, this speeds up the process and drives down the cost. Wool is also known to be self cleaning and very hard-wearing. We stock a large range of sizes from small mats to room size, many of our wool ranges can be custom made to your required size. Ranges such as Matrix, Croc, Karma and Decotex are to name a few of the most popular. New ranges include Falls, Pixel, Hedley, Aimo and Joseph. Please note that due to the nature of this yarn all wool floor-coverings will shed when new, this will slow down over time and stop once all the lose fibre have shed.
